"I purchased a used FLHT from you this summer. Your dealersip gave me a goodprice for my trade-in and a reasonable price for the bike I purchased. A month after the purchase I had mechanical problems with the new bike. I didnt buy the extended warranty and did'nt exspect for the repairs to be covered by the dealership. However Steve Benson got involved while I was in the service area and offered to cover the exspense for the parts/labor plus giving me an extra key fob to boot. I had never met Mr. Benson before this, but was very inpressed that he stood behind the products he sells that way. "On my trek to buy my first Harley I've been to ten dealerships in 2 states. I have three dealerships closer to my home than Bensons. And since I ordered my bike I could have gone to any dealership I chose.
Most of my dealings have been with Jason in sales, who is a remarkable salesman. He is very laid back, and puts you at ease, but also makes you feel that Bensons really does want to sell you a bike. But I feel very strongly that good sales people are a reflection of the ownership.
I ordered my bike from Jason because of being treated with respect, good fair price, and friendly atmosphere.
But one week before it was due in, I cancelled my order. The economy was bad, and I had some personal issues to deal with. But instead of Jason being upset, he was very understanding of my problems. He never bothered me to find out "when I was going to be ready". When I called or e-mailed him, he never blew me off or showed any kind of attitude. So several months later when I was finally ready to buy, I went back to Bensons. Everyone in the shop is very friendly. The other sales people, parts, service, clothes, all make you feel very comfortable in their shop. I'm sooooooo excited about my new Road King. "I had a ProCharger super charger installed on my 2003 Roadking classic this past winter at Bensons.
I was very impressed with the service department in walking me through every aspect of the costs and requirement associated with the installation. Also going into the details with me the pros and cons of the equipment. They also made some suggestions and recommendations for other components that they knew would be necessary for me to be completely satisfied with the end result.
The installation was perfect; the eye for detail in even making sure every component was lined up true and plumb was great to see. Most shops just bolt it on and say -here you go- and then you have to go back and straighten everything up.
At no time did I feel that the service departments made me feel as if they were in the business to just sell parts regardless of what I needed as other dealers seam to want to do.
I have had the opportunity this summer to thoroughly enjoy the incredible performance and the attention my ProCharger has added to my Roadking. I would like to add that I have had zero issues with the installation or performance of the ProCharger, other then a small primary leak (as all bikes have sooner or later) that Bensons promptly took care of.
The Staff at Benson’s really seam to know there business and you can feel like you can trust whatever they are telling you.
For as long as I am able to ride, all my Harley-Davidson related business will be with Benson’s Motorcycles.

"I tried to buy my first harley this year. i went to bensons first. they really didn't have anything in stock that fit my style. so then went to 96th harley. They had the perfect bike but, i was a little short on the down payment. I asked them if i gave them 90% of the down payment would they hold it for me for 3 days. the wouldn't. i ended trying several times to get a bike at 96th st. and it never worked out. so i decided to check out bensons again. I called bensons and asked if they had anything in stock, they still remembered me and said they thought they had the perfect bike for me. i went in and checked it out and loved it. But i didn't like the handle bars they said they would change them. they did but the bars didn't work. they made up for it. they gave me a great deal on the bike and ordered a set of bars that looked even better then the first set. thanks bensons for everthing! you guys are great.when i want another harley, i will be back. "Years, and Years ago, I went to purchase a Harley from Bensons. I was told then that I didn't fit the Harley image and was asked if I would rather look at the Jap bikes. Needless to say, I left. When I have a purchase in mind, I know what I want through the research I do using web sites, users of the products, and friends. Well, when I went to 96th street to purchase my 1st Harley and they (unfortunate for them) raised the price, I left and on the way home, I stopped at Bensons. I arrived on a Saturday at 4:30 pm. I walked in and was met by the (non-threatening) salesman. I explained exactly what I wanted and how much I wanted to pay. WOW! Bensons stayed open a little later than normal hours, and a great sale was made. I believe that if a person treats me with service that is honest and above and beyond the call of duty, then they have made a customer for life.

"Phil, I have seen notes about the dyno in past HOG Prints; however I would like to tell my fellow HOG Members about how they can benefit from using the dyno. I drive a 2002 883 Sportser. I had some engine work done; and that helped increase my performance quite a bit. After a 500 mile break in period we put it on the dyno. When I picked up my bike to take it home it was like a different bike. The response is now superb, and the torque, and speed are amazing. The dyno was like flipping a switch that instantly made my bike perform better. If you have not put you're bike on the dyno you are missing out on a reasonably priced method of improving performance in a big way. My 883 puts out more horsepower than the new stock 96 cubic inch motor. With 72 horsepower, and a 12.94 second quarter mile speed my little plain jane sportser is now a well tuned machine. IF YOU WANT A GREAT RUNNING BIKE PUT IT ON THE DYNO!
